The Dr. Vodder Academy International, based in Walchsee/Tyrol/Austria, serves the purpose of making Dr. Vodder’s Method of Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) known throughout the world. Formerly called Dr. Vodder School and now Academy, the teaching facility was founded in 1972 by Günther and Prof. Hildegard Wittlinger. This was followed by the launch of the Dr. Vodder School in North America in the 1980s, which is now called Dr. Vodder School International.
The Dr. Vodder Academy International is to be understood as the umbrella organization tasked with disseminating, and assuring the quality of the original Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage. As well as all locations where MLD training programs are provided, this website includes a list of all our teachers around the globe.
In addition, it provides an overview of training requirements to reach the various levels of an MLD teacher. Single rules and procedures are applied worldwide helping maintain the unique nature of the original Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymph Drainage.
The Bylaws include all information on the duration of MLD courses, their contents and the pathologies addressed by MLD and taught in a four-week program of professional development. You will also find a detailed explanation of which teacher at which level of qualification may teach which courses and where the Dr. Vodder Academy has course programs in place.
